Lincoln County Detention Center Custody
The contractor’s live facility information identifies LCDC as a 148-bed county jail operated by Correctional Solutions Group under county agreement. That capacity is not a current population or release statistic. A county packet’s roughly 70-person average daily population was historical and should not be presented as today’s count. County records also show that a lapse in a BIA arrangement affected population and that some BIA detainees later returned under an interim contract.
Historic BIA detention is not evidence of a current ICE agreement. No official proof of an ICE detention contract at LCDC was found. If a record names a BIA, federal, or immigration receiver, follow that named custody path. Do not recast a tribal transfer as immigration removal or community release.
Lincoln County Detention Release Logistics
County materials support return of property and completion of release paperwork. They do not publish an exact release time, exit point, holiday or weekend process, family waiting area, or transportation rule. A court order can be entered before the jail completes identity, warrant, property, and transport checks. Families should call before travel and ask whether release is authorized, whether processing is complete, and whether the event is a community release.
A county budget discussion described a “release of prisoner fund” intended to help people before release get on their way somewhere else. It did not state current funding, eligibility, transportation mode, or an amount available to one person. LCDC or its release-planning staff must confirm any current help. A separate historical education collaboration with ENMU-Ruidoso described individual planning and a reported 100-hour RISE prerelease curriculum, but present access cannot be assumed.

Lincoln County Detention Release Custodians
The county jail’s operating structure creates an unusual split. Correctional Solutions Group maintains current facility facts, while Lincoln County retains the documented public-record intake. The county’s own Detention Center navigation has pointed to an obsolete domain. That broken destination is not evidence that the jail closed, nor does it move official records to an unrelated directory.

State-prison and state-supervision records belong to NMCD. The division can require several checks, but it also makes each answer easier to test against the office that created it.
Lincoln County Release or Transfer
A direct community release is best confirmed through the time-stamped LCDC entry plus the court order. An NMCD transfer needs the county destination field and a matching state record. Another county or tribal transfer needs the receiver’s confirmation. A federal sentence routes to the BOP locator and federal docket. USMS has no public name-based prisoner locator, so federal pretrial records may require the docket and a focused records request.
VINE can provide a custody-change notice for a specific participating-agency record, but it is not a permanent release certificate. A move between agencies may require a new registration, and a release notice from LCDC may reflect transfer.
